Filtering Reports to display only for Selected Groups

Could someone tell me how to filter a report to only show certain groups that the user selects?

It can be any report... I am just trying to limit it to say.. contacts from the state of X or the group of "Western Div

Do the lookup first, then run the report on the "Current lookup"

I am not sure I understand. Can I run a report that shows a number of different contacts or companies to display the groups that each contact or company belongs to? If so, is there a way to select different contacts in the lookup that dont really have anything in common?

To select which records you're reporting on, the report runs on a lookup.. so you do the lookup first, then run the report

To run a report on the contacts nd then display whih groups/companies it's linked to, you need to have those sub-sections in the report

Ok, i did that too.. I run into the same issue. The groups do not have anything in common either. Is there any way to manually select the look ups with out having to search by a criteria? Isnt there a way to just click on each group, contact or company?

Yes, but it would be better to pick from either selected companies or selected contacts. (each of which has nothing in common with the other contacts or companies)

Normally, I'd say create a group you want an manually add the contacts you want reported.

Another option is to use GroupIT which is a small addon that can group multiple groups/companies for use in reporting. I can dig up the download loaction and price if you drop me a message via
