filtering firewall logs

is there a way to filter out specific machines so that failed packets from them do not show up in the log ?

you can add explicit rules for these machenes in your rules (or create a group) and for the specific ports place a rule to drop with no logging

e.g.
machine_group - any - http - drop - none
