Can wildcards be used in Outlook Express Message Rules, Blocked Senders List when adding domains that keep changing part of the senders address? For instance, I keep getting these messages from Peak(something).(four or five alphanumeric characters).com. The Peak(something) stays the same as does the .com, but the middle section (four or five alphanumeric characters) keep changing. Below is an example of what I'm trying to say.

Peakbuy.abcd.com

I add it to block sender, but it'll come back with something like Peakbuy.efgh.com or Peakbuy.aceg.com.

I'd like to use a wildcard such as Peakbuy.*.com to block it, but it doesn't work. Is there something native to OE that will allow it or do I need to enable a spam filter?

All regular OE rules criteria work as wildcards. Don't even bother with 'blocked senders' - it will get too big to be manageable. Just create a rule to delete (or move or whatever) when the from field contains peak and it will work. Below are some other threads that discuss mail rules (some might not be available anymore)

smah,

Such a simple solution. Thank you very much.

You're welcome. Just be careful and keep in mind that this rule will also catch mail from speaker@somewhere.org and similar things. If this applies, just add another rule (for the addresses that you want to keep) before this one that 'stops processing more rules'.
