Filtering client causes manager to crash

We're running Arcserve 11.1 on a Novell 5.1 sp6 network. Using Manager, if we add any filter to a client workstation, xp or 98, and then try to save the backup job, Arceserve Manager crashes. If there are no filters on the client workstations then the job is saved and runs without a hitch. Why is this happening? Thanks for your interest. M. Cooper

Make sure the client agent is the 11.1 version and not an older version.

You tried using shortname filters instead of longname ones?

Thanks for your suggestions. The clients are definately 11.1.
What do you mean by shortname filters? All we are doing is
selecting from the drop down list to ignore files that were
created before a certain date.

Maybe the date format you're inputting isn't what the program is expecting - try clicking help on the filter dialog box - it should give some examples.

I'll check it out but it's pretty straight forward. You select "exclude or include", pick a file attribute like "created before" and then select a date from a drop down calender.
