I have a table (Access 2002) with three fields:
Class
Product
Sales

The database has a total of 30 thousand records. Within the Class Field, there are about one hundred categories. What is the best way of creating a query that filters out about 30 of these categories. There are several records belonging to each of these 30 categories.

Create a temporary table with a field populated with the 30 categories values you are interested in and then create the query joining th2 2 tables.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Thanks PHV,

How do I select the 30 categories from the reference database other than specifying each one of them as a criterion in a query?
