I've got a form of firms, with two subforms - contacts (one to many relationship) and mailing lists (one to one relationship).

I can filter records on the form, and the subform records are filtered.

When I filter using a field in one of the subforms, that subform is filtered, but all of the records in firms are still available.
So if I filter for a contact Smith, the result is I can flip through all the firms, each with the contacts subform blank except if the firm has a Smith.

How can I filter the records of the "master" form from a subform?

Thanks in advance for your help.
You're Link is from Master form to the subform in both cases
So the subforms only look to the master for information
If you want on esub to look at something differnt.
Add a second "In-Visible" Text box on your main form.
make it's control source look at the a field on the first subform.
Make the Master/Child Link on the second subform look at the in-visible text box

So when you change the information on the first sub form the second will follow suit.

OK
