Filter emails so they don't get Journaled

Hi all: I have set up my SBS 2003R2 machine with a Journaling account. This account is accessed by an Archiving package that copies it all and clears out the Journaling account.
I would like to know how to filter what the Journaling account gets in the first place. I don't want to Archive emails from Techtips, Wall Street Journal, etc.
The Archive vendor states that this can be done but they don't know how.
