filter doesn't seem to work with table

When we added a new record to this table the person doing the data entry commented that the filter didn't work any longer. What I've been able to learn is that if we sort and observe the number of records associated with the value of this field, "IRB Number" when we count the records aligned with the value 99-08-270 to be 18. The latest record we added to the table bore this IRB Number value. When we filter by form for IRB Number 99-08-270 however the latest record added to the database did not appear among the records displayed which numbered just 17, 1 shy of the correct number of records, 88.

Any ideas anyone?

Make sure the new one entered is exactly the same...specifically check that there isn't a space at the end of the record, that's an easy one to miss. Hope that helps.
