Filter dates defaulting to American formats

Using a form to contrust a report filter the result returns records between dates based upon an American format ie mm/dd/yy for the filter. This occurs even though the form and report control formats and the query field that provides the source data are all defined as dd/mm/yy.

Sideline

If you set the format of the field to "Short Date" or "Long Date" it will pick up the setting in the control panel regional settings.
