Hi
Needing some help to filter by date and copy to new worksheet per month.
- Add new worksheet for each month if data exist
- If worksheet exist, delete and add new worksheet before copying data
- If no data for the month, it will just move on to the next month

Column B = Dates (Have defaulted the dates to end of each respective month)

Thanks,
arv

Hi,

What's your purpose for putting data into different sheets?

This actually makes it more difficult to analyze and report on your data.

Your data is actually much more useful in a single table.

If you sent me a workbook with like data in sheets by day or week or month or year or any other means of chopping up data like state or region or account or assembly, the very first thing I'd do is put all the data into one table on one sheet. The time that would take would pay me back ten thousand percent in the efforts to analyze and report on the data.

Hi Skip
Thanks for the prompt response. Glad to have your help yet again.
Under normal circumstances, yes, i would consolidate into one worksheet to analyse.

The purpose to segregate them into multiple worksheets per month is so that I can import them by month into the system.
System only allows data to be imported by month.

Thanks,
arv

You can record a macro that...
Sorts the table by date
Filter by year & month

Then post back with your recorded code if you need help making a loop that starts with a given year & month and ends with another given set.

The loop result can either be added to a new sheet (yuk!) or saved as a text file for the mainframe update.

here's your file.

BTW, I see where I'll need to make a change to accommodate missing months. I'll address that in a couple hours. Right now I'm out of pocket.

Thanks Skip. Shall await for the updated file to address missing months.

Thank you so much Skip. Always a life saver![bigsmile]

You give me opportunities to keep my skills sharp, having been retired for over 5 years. Enjoyed the challenge.
