filter and sorting

I have a continuous form with a toolbar for sorting and/or filtering the records, and a command button than open a report
i would like that the report will carry the same sorting and filter like the user choose in the form
i treid :
DoCmd.OpenReport "rName", acViewPreview, , Me.Filter
DoCmd.OpenReport "rName", acViewPreview, Me.Filter
but the report came out with all the records, no filer
any help, what do i do ??

Try:

DoCmd.OpenReport "rName", acViewPreview, WhereCondition := Me.Filter

i tried me.filter = ""
does runtime error
