I want to fill some text (which I rasterized) with a pattern of red, white, and blue consecutive horizontal stripes. The image size of my pattern affects the placement of the pattern into the text. Because it's hard to get the consecutive red, white and then blue. It looks white, red and then blue, I guess my pattern size is bigger than the text size.
Is there an easy way to do this? I just want my text to have horizontal stripes red, white and blue.
Thanks for any help if you can understand my explanation.

Hi,

Create a big scale pattern then goto Edit > Define Pattern. Next create a new layer and goto Edit > Fill (choose pattern from the dropdown) select your pattern then hit ok. Next create a clipping mask by holding ALT and click in between the pattern layer and the text layer (you should see a sissors icon if you do this correctly). Then you can simple grab the top pattern layer and move it until it aligns the way you want on the text. Finally link the text and pattern layers together so that when you move one the other will move too while keeping your overlay the same.

Hope this helps!
