Please ignore my previous question.

I have a document with a pdf form. It is an application. Iwant to be able to fill in the form fields and print it out. Don't care about saving it.

Just want to print it out with the form fields filled in.

When I look at the security settings of the doc, it has a property called "Filling of form fields"

This is set to "allowed" and I still cannot fill in the fields.

Thanks for the help

Carl

If you have the full version you may be able to copy the form and make the fields for filling in.

If you save several copies of the form in the same file they have to have different names or they will all revert to the same.

Is the form something that was actually designed to be filled in with acrobat (a completable pdf), or is it just a copy of a paper document that your sender was thinking you would print and then complete with a typewriter or by hand?

If the form was not designed to by completed by acrobat, you would have to have a full version of acrobat and go through the form and create text boxes for each of the blanks and then fill in the form.

I think you can tell if it is a completeable pdf by watching your cursor. As you move it around over the document you see the hand. If the form is a completeable pdf, somewhere on the lines you want to fill in, it should change to a vertical line. If you don't see that happening, you probably do not have a form that can be completed by Acrobat in its current state and you will have to have a full version of Acrobat, not just Acrobat reader, to change the form.
