Filling empty fields with same value 1

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to fill over 1000 empty cells in the same column on my main table with the same value? Besides of course going one at a time and pasting? this would be greatly appreciated.

create a query, insert the table you need to update, drag the field down that you need to update, change the query to an update query.

In the update field underneath the field enter the value you need to fill the empty cell with.

Underneath there you will have to enter "Is Null" into the criteria.

Then run the query, and it will update all empty field will the value you have entered.

I hope that is what you require.

Hi M8KWR, I set up the query and ran it, but it came back
You are about to update 0 fields, if you continue you will not be able to reverse the changes. It doesn't seem to be recognizing the empty cells I wish to update. Any Idea's?

False alarm. I removed the quotes from Is Null, and all is well. Thank you again for your help, Saves alot of heartache.
