Hi there!
First, I'd like to say thank you to everyone on this site - you have helped me where other forums have failed and I appreciate it greatly!!!! This is now the FIRST site I go to when I need answers! Okay, back to the matter at hand...
I've inherited a database (Access 2K converted from Access 97) to which I've done some MAJOR overhauling. There are currently only two users, including myself. I've made a "front-end" form to use for other purposes, and the other user is working on the "back-end", while still entering the same type of information as the other user. Each record has two unique identifiers -an Autonumber field, and a State Plan number(SP#), which is assigned by one of us. The SP# cannot be duplicated, which is where the problem lies. What I'd like to do is put in an unbound textbox that will show the last SP# entered, so either of us knows what the next plan number will be (by the beginning of the next fiscal year, this will all be automated, but that won't go into effect until July!). Does anyone know the easiest way to do this? Thanks in advance.
