Hi All,

I know they use closed polyline to represent a polygon in AutoCAD, but is there a way to create a polygon in filled mode (solid fill not filled with mesh)? Thanks.

Ray

Yes, it's usually done by drawing the polygon then filling it with a solid hatch. The entity type is "hatch" of the type "solid". If a regular shaped polygon you could also use a polyline of varying width.

Hi rayq,

If you have an older version of AutoCAD and don't have the solid hatch, another option is to use the command "solid", and fill in your polygon that way.

Solid fills can be haphazard with anything other then basic geometry, use with caution!!
