Hello. Anyone know how to fill an outline font with a different color than the background or the edges? (Example at I'm using Pub2003. I have a text box filled green. I have an outline font with the font colored white. That leaves the inside of the font (empty) green. I'd rather it be black, so the text is readable (black/white) regardless of text box color.

Any ideas? Maybe a different approach to a guaranteed readable font (black/white) in a colored box?
Thanks in advance,

Hi,

What's the name of the font and what type of font is it?

A really primitive way to fix it would be to edit with paint and fill it? Cut and paste etc. This is assuming this font's not allowing you to do so in Publisher...

There's a font in Wordart that lets you fill it.

Also, if you haven't already done so, a search on "outline fonts" on web might turn up a font you can fill

...couple of thougts, not necessarily solutions hey?

You can do that with any font in
Word Art.

Indeed JP, indeed! Good point. ... Was looking for a font that looked a bit more like the one in question. M

Since we can only see one character, it appears to be Arial or somthing similar. Create the letter with WordArt, use WordArt style 1 (1st one on left in first row). Type in your letter/word. Select your font. OK.

Select WordArt format in the WordArt toolbar. Change the line to white, change the fill to whatever color you want.
