FILESYSTEM configured as a Tape Device ????

Hello to everyone.

I'm trying to configure Netbackup to backup to a FS instead of a tape device. Is this possible ??? Legato Networker has that feature and I thought Netbackup would also have it.

We're using Netbackup to test one of our software interacting with backup and we're testing against small files so we're not concerned about tape drives.

This is not mentionned in the MM install/admin guide

Just for future purposes if you want to do what gqma0 wa asking about - Create a new storage unit and instead of a "Media Manager" storage unit, create a disk storage unit. You can specify any directory, location etc to use as a backup location.

I have often used this to test write speeds etc on a particular server.
