Hi all,

Basically when i switch my PC on and log in i get a little pop up message in the right/bottom corner of the screen saying files waiting to be copied to CD. However when i try to copy these files to the CD to get rid of them it says an error has occurred and when i try to delete the files the error occurs again not allowing me to get rid of the files either way, and therfore preventing me from burning CD's etc.

Has anyone experienced similar problems??

This problem has been annoying me for a while now!!

Hope u can help

cheers

Have you moved these files or changed the locations of files or folder before logging off?

Have a look in your Event Viewer for any errors, especially to do with CD Burning.
Look in the System or Application folder. You can get to the Event Viewer via right click My Computer icon and select Manage.

Any errors logged in the Event Viewer can be expanded by double clicking on the error line.

What is the health of your CD's or CD Drive like?

HOW TO: Troubleshoot Issues That Occur When You Write Data to a CD-R or CD-RW Optical Disc in Windows XP

Navigate to this folder - C:\Documents and Settings\UserNamexxxx\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning - either delete or move any files from there waiting to be written to CD. If you have access problems, double check your Security Permissions, and/or try accessing files from Safe Mode.
