files not opening

why when i click on files to open in photshop or try to edit a linked photoshop file, the program opens but the file itself does not?

I use OSX. When I installed the 10.3.8 update the same thing happened t me. I reinstalled photoshop and everything is now ok.

So, no matter what OS you use, an OS update might break something.
