files in deleted.sav

I am using Netware 5 and deleted files are not going to the deleted.sav directory in any of the volumes. I have checked file system parameters and "immediate purge of deleted files" is set to off. Can anyone enlighten me please?

Is your volume low on diskspace? If so, files will automatically be deleted if diskspace is low. -----------------------------------------------------

The only files that go to deleted.sav are when you delete entire directories. If the directory of the deleted file still exists, it does not go to deleted.sav. For example, deleting SYS:\DATA\TEST\MYDOC.DOC would not go to deleted.sav. Deleting the entire SYS:\DATA\TEST directory would put all the deleted files from that directory under deleted.sav.
