Filename extract using Filer in Lowercase

We have an app which extracts a list of filenames from a specific folder using Filer and renames the files from "order number".pdf to "stock code".pdf
The files are then posted onto an FTP site for our Far East offices.

No matter what we try we cannot get the code to rename the files in Uppercase so we get filenames of ft12345anczz1s.pdf
when we need FT12345ANCZZ1S.
Using UPPER seems to have no impact - we now have to run the files through a 3rd party software which is OK but another link in the process.

Any ideas please?

This is from Ramani's website, maybe it would help. He has a little tiny utility to copy file (or ensure proper case reservation) of file being copied using win scripting.
