I am trying to set up a FileMaker system whereby a FileMaker Pro 6 Unlimited machine sits on my company's "DMZ" (simply to publish web pages to the internet) and a FileMaker Server 5.5 sits machine within my company's intranet (machine does the serving of the filemaker files). My question is: how can I get the Filemaker Pro 6 Unlimited machine to "see" the filemaker pro files being hosted by the Server 5.5 machine? I have thought about using a VPN but am unsure if this is even possible (the Pro 6 machine is running on a Mac OS X "jaguar" and the Server 5.5 machine is running Mac OS Xserver). I could get the system to work for our intranet (by moving the FileMaker Pro 6 machine back into my company's intranet) but that defeats the purpose of the project (which is to publish our intranet filemaker pro files from a server over the internet).
I have been working on this project for some time and am hoping that someone out there has had the same assignment (hopefully with a solution). Thank you for any help.

how about your router/firewall?what brand?DSL? You need to match the local IP and the port on which you have the web service...usually 192.168.xxx.xxx(server) with port 80 internally(intranet) and over the internet you would refer to that site whatever IP you have assigne from your ISP.So in other words....
I would "see" you machine by
while you would see it internally as
machine_IP
