How Do you perform a search on only those records returned from a prior search?

Every time you do a search in Filemaker it uses all records. You may want to consider using a form for users to enter multiple criteria, or use the New Request button while in Find Mode to define multiple criteria for the same field.

If you can provide more information I'm sure someone here can give you more details.

Most of my major databases have a field called 'Marker' and two scripts -
Set Marker
Clear Marker
You do your find and then Set Marker. Subsequent finds use the value in Marker ('X' for imagination) plus any other criteria. This is very handy for complex finds.
Set Marker, by the way, is just a single 'Replace' script step.
