Wow! What have I done now? I've been tweeking a database I created early last year to track customers, deliveries, tonnage and cost of delivery. The more I work on and improve it the prouder I am of it but this morning I may have went to far.... Don't know what I did but now when I am in layout mode and I click on a field (or text block) nothing happens (no editing brackets) - if I double click anywhere the screen goes white with a small cursor in the center of it. Never seen this before and have been using various versions of FMP for 7 years now. I checked to see if the application was "locked" but it is not. The last thing I remember doing before this happened was creating links to open other files within FMP 8. I've tried closing out FMP and re-opening it but no help. Any ideas?

I found the error in the layout causing my concern. Somehow I had a file counter crossing over from the header into the main body - when I increased the header area a bit and re-positioned the file counter squarely into the header area I was once again able to manipulate the layout. Don't know the whys and wherfores but the bottom line is all is well again.....
