FileMaker Pro 5 - Can I upgrade it?

Hi

I've just been given a new 'in the box' version of FileMaker Pro 5. It doesn't run on XP. Is there anyway I can upgrade it so that it runs on XP?

I run FM4, 5, 5.5, 6 and 7 on XP, without any problem.

Why do you think FM 5 should not run on XP ?

Ah will try it - it was given to me by someone who said that he couldn't use it because it wouldn't run on XP?!

Can I upgrade it though if I want to?

The updates for FM 5 will be hard to find, although a search on the Filemaker site can give maybe a solution, not sure about that. Look also at ebay....

FM 5 can be upgraded to FM 6, you have to buy the upgrade, ebay could have a few.

...and if the box is a gift...lucky you... :)
