FileMaker Connection w/VB 6.0

Hello all...

I tried to do a search for this topic, but it appears that the search is down.

I am in need of some help. I am wondering if I can use Visual Basic 6.0 to connect to a FileMaker 7.0 Database that is hosted using FileMaker Server.

What I am trying to do is to create a little form that will allow the user to enter a ID#, then when they click the button it connects to the master file that has all ID#'s in it and if found display the hire date of the employee.

Any help or ideas would be terrific.
