Hi All,

We're using Filemaker Pro and Filemaker Server for a variety of different databases where I work. We're also taking advantage of the external authentication features of Filemaker so that we can get single sign on for our Windows machines (we use Active Directory too). We recently upgraded one of our Windows machines to Vista, and all of a sudden it's prompting the user for her credentials - her user name and password.
Has anyone ran into this issue before? If so, have you been able to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

I have not tried FM on Vista yet but when this happens on XP it is usually because the user has logged onto the local machine rather than the domain. Could this be happening to you?

Striker,

Hey, thanks for the response. The user is logged into the domain - the other services (mapped drives, access to different programs) all work ok. We were thinking that it was an issue with the User Account Control (check out this link: so we tried re-installing it, but it was still having problems.

Thanks,
