FILEEXIST (help needed from Argentina)

I want to make a download manager in ASP

before a response.redirect("

http://www.server.com/myfile.ext")

y want to check if that file exists... is it possible???

Note that "myfile.ext" is not located in the same server that the .asp files are...

I want to do that because I don't want to count clicks on broken links...
Am I clear?

I would suggest using a COM object such as AspHTTP from

http://www.serverobjects.com

or writing your own in a VB COM object.

You would do a GET on the URL/file and check the HTTP status code. If you received a status of 200 you know the file exists and then you could execute your redirect.
