I have noticed that on Exchange 5.5 SP4 running on W2k, under archive folder for incoming internet messages few files would start showing file type as "system" while rest of them (as per normal) would show type as "File". It adds more and more regular "file" type files to show as "system". I clean this folder of old archived files by moving them somewhere else so that it does not build in large numbers. Since file type is "system" and I don't know whats holding them, I don't want to remove them withought knowing. I didn't have this before. Any idea as to what is causing this file type to change.
