Hi,

We are facing a problem on TSW SP5;

When connecting two computers using analog modems which are connected to analog extension lines on the same TSW system, the connection is OK, but when trying file transfer between the two computers, after sending around 50KB of data, the file transfer stops.

Are there any parameters etc. which are blocking this?

what analog board are you using? (on both sides)
is your external synchronisation ok? (SCEXP;)
modem communications are transparent to the pbx, so there are no parameters to set. what DTE baudrate do you have and what is the line baudrate you are getting??

Hi' just to be sure, set the ICAT d1=1 (EL 6) to 3,1Khz.

Hi, I'm using ELU34 boards connected to the same system:

<CNBIP:BPOS=1-0-30&3-2-50;
DEVICE BOARD REVISION INFORMATION
DATE: 16NOV08 TIME: 10:52:04

BPOS BOARD/BRDID PRODUCT NUMBER REVISION STATUS ADD
/IND

001-0-30 ELU34 ROF1375064/1 R1B
CAA 158 0033 R7H 32 Analog ext.
003-2-50 ELU34 ROF1375064/1 R1B
CAA 158 0033 R7H 32 Analog ext.

END

SCEXP; seems to be OK also:

<SCEXP; EXTERNAL SYNC RECEIVING LINES DATA
MASTER LIM STATUS [MASTER SCOPE]
FIRST CHOICE 1-0-20-0 SYNC RECEIVING
SECOND CHOICE NOT PRESENT
THIRD CHOICE NOT PRESENT

END

The baud rate when connecting is 33600.
I have also changed ICAT d1=1, but no help.

Have you tried connecting the two modems to analog CO lines, just to see if the fault disappears?
This means that you eliminate the MD110 in the modem connection?
Have you tried to lower the data speed?
Check also your grounding af your MD110 PBX.

Yes, the modems work fine when connected to CO lines directly. And we also have good grounding...

i faced the same problem in my old company. it was with Fax machines i faced this issue. there what i did is, i changed the extension port, from one LIM to another LIM for the timebeing.

those extensions which has this problem, has a different dial tone, louder than normal with some humming on it.

and once i got a chance to restart the LIM, i did and it become alright.

I have some additional questions...

Have you tried to lower the data speed?
Have you tried to use other positions on your ELU34 boards?
Have you tried to use other ELU34 boards in your LIMs?
Have you tried to use ELU29 boards instead?

Maybe these questions could help?
