File trailer does not match file header on frecover

Hi,
I am trying to recover large Oracle dbf files from DDS4 tape using the frecover command. On reaching these files I am getting
"File trailer does not match file header for
file /oradata/pwg/memcor001.dbf
error in trailer recovery"
I have increased maxdsiz and the swap space but still no joy.Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be or how to get around the problem?

I'm only guessing but my guess work generally works for me.

you may have an issue with file size... or you may have a bad tape.
