I'm stumped,We're running samba 3 on Cent 4.4 as a domain member and serving up files that reside on the Samba share.
Work is performed within the directory on the samba server and everything works just fine......except the following scenarios. Files that are manipulated manually through the explorer window the view stays synched in real time, but if you use a program command to manipulate a file the explorer window does not stay synched. (an instance would be a command line call to winzip to move the file into an archive) the explorer window does not update and retains a view of the file until you refresh it with an F5 key. Does any one have a cure? Thanks

I used to have this often...
Try these in your smb.conf:

read raw = No
write raw = No
socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192
