File Summary --> Comments

Hi everyone,

I have an web app that reads some reports from a folder, displays them as link buttons and the user can click and retrieve data. My problem is that i want to read file's properties and display the Comments from the Summary tab in my page. Is there a way to do that... i never worked with file properties so, any input is appreciated.

These aren't coming from the file system, rather they're coming from a shell extension that MS-Office installed.

Sorry, I don't have any documentation on it, but if you did some spelunking in the registered COM objects, you might find it.

Got it. Just download the DSOFile.dll from

... add it as refrence ... the rest... history.
