Hi:
I am a first time user of Flash, I finished my web site and published it, but it weighs 23.3megs (swf file), and it takes too long to load. I am a photographer, so image quality must be decent. All my images were compressed at setting 10 in photoshop at 72 dpi. and site is 1024X768. I need help making the file size smaller in order for my site to load smoothly. I used minimal animation.
PLease HELP! I need the site to get work!
Thanks,
Enrique M.

In photoshop, use the save for web function, and save them as no more than 5 on the quality scale. See how that goes.

You should just have a main interface movie, with maybe just a few "intro" pictures, and thumbnails for the rest.
Then dynamically load each (thumbnail)picture only on demand...
The wait might still be a little long for slow connected users, but never as long as it was.

thanks fot the advise, but it still loads kind of slow, If I can't fix it. I gues I'll have to put one of those "download bars", I just don't know how to do that either.
