I have a specific directory & subdirctories which I want to monitor. In the event that a file greater than a certain size is created I would like a notification of some sort raised in the event log.

Does anybody have any idea how I can do this, I have tried looking at the Alerts in the Performance Logs and Alerts, but am unable to identify a suitable counter.
