Hi...

Is there a way to create a directory on an iSeries to share w/an AIX box? I have data that I want to export between servers and rather than FTP, I was hoping I could create a directory on the iSeries that both servers could have acess to. For example, the pSeries AIX box would mount or have access to a library on the iSeries. I'm running V5R3 on the iSeries and V5.3 aix on the IBM pSeries.

Thanks

It's been a long time since I did this.
1. hit the iseries info center and read up on exporting using NFS
2. once you have a successful export, create a mount on the unix side
3. mount the exported file system from the unix side

I once did this from a solaris box to a 270 running v4r5.

wish i could provide more details

To store Unix files on the iSeries, you can use the QOpenSys file system inside IFS.
