we always set our users my docment folders to be redirected to a file server and their pcs are set to use offline folders.

well the file server crashed, and some users are getting an error when trying to access the files offline, they are getting "document name or path is not valid"

I get that by right clicking on the Offline Folders

what is going on?
other users it is working fine, my laptop has all of my files.
they are not setup any different.

Have you clicked to work offline?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

yup, they are working offline.

weird thing is, one of the users who only shows SOME of her files offline couldnt open them, UNTIL she right clicked on the file and selected Make Available Offline. then she could open the few of her files that were there.

but I checked the settings, and everything was set to work offline, and it showed her as being offline.

weird.
