This has me scratching my head big time.
Example:
Global Security Group, Files_Personnel
User-Joe is a member of the group
E:\Files\Personnel
Share permission, everyone full access
Security, Advanced, remove Users, add Files_Personnel, Full control this and sub directories
Files_Personnel is listed on the security tab of every file in the Personnel directory.
User-Joe shows as a member of the Files_Personnel group
User-Joe can not access the directory or any of it's contents.
Adding User-Joe to the security tab taking the exact same steps as adding the group works. User-Joe has full control.
The exact same steps have been followed for numerous other shares and groups. The problem appears to be machine/model specific, Dell 520's to be exact.
I honestly have no idea what is going on. I have recreated the group, user and share. It simply refuses to work.
