I'm using an ASP upload script to allow certain users to upload documents. One user uploaded a corrupt file and I cannot delete it. It's saying that "another program is using this file". How can i delete this file without rebooting the server to release the hold?

There are several administrative tools you can use to kill actively locked files.

Try things like process explorer

Another trick is to move the file handling into a COM/ActiveX DLL. Then you load the DLL as a package in COM+ Component Services. This allows you to restart the package without restarting IIS.
