i am tryin to rebuilt a file using Pervasive Rebuilt ...when i tried to rebuilt one of the file {OEAUDH and OEAUDH.^01) i get the error as at follow:-
REBUILD-20: The utility is processing \\Npbackup2k3\application1\accpacerp55\DATA\NPLDAT\OEAUDH.^01.
REBUILD-15: MicroKernel Database Engine returned status 30 while operating on the following file:
\\Npbackup2k3\application1\accpacerp55\DATA\NPLDAT\OEAUDH.^01.
The rebuild operation end time is 02/26/10 09:48:06.

The rebuild operation start time is 02/26/10 09:48:06.
rbldcli -c -sK -f95 -b\\Npbackup2k3\application1\oe audh \\Npbackup2k3\application1\accpacerp55\DATA\NPLDAT\OEAUDH.DAT

REBUILD-20: The utility is processing \\Npbackup2k3\application1\accpacerp55\DATA\NPLDAT\OEAUDH.DAT.
REBUILD-68: Status code 2 was returned while copying records from the following file:
\\Npbackup2k3\application1\accpacerp55\DATA\NPLDAT\OEAUDH.DAT.
REBUILD rejected a total of 0 records.
REBUILD copied a total of 14748 records.
REBUILD rebuilt a total of 0 indexes.
The rebuild operation end time is 02/26/10 09:48:20.

Now my problem is that i cant use a backup cause the last knw good back up i have is as at 10 days ago so can anyone assist me with anyother mean and ways to resolve my problem or can i use the OEAUD file ten dat ago?

You don't rebuild the ^01 table, it's part of OEAUDH.DAT. Take it off the rebuild selection list.

i tried it without that file but i am still at the point where i cant do a day end it stops that a OE shipment number and error tell em that table in the OEAUDH can be enter so that y i tried to rebuilt the file in the first place so do u think if i use the OE file from the 15 of February what effect will that cause

You'll lose O/E audit history, most people never miss it, but you never know with auditors.

But you shouldn't be messing with OEAUD* anyway, the day-end problem is with OESHID. Whoever said the problem is with OEAUDH doesn't know what they're talking about.

well there is a problem there too ...but when doing the day end the error message tell be about the OEAUD files so that why i figure more than less that thats the file with problem so ....in the case that the damage file is the OESHID can i replace that file with the FEB. 15 data ....wat is the effect of that

Posting journals. Database error (operation=INSERT, error=2)
internal error cannot insert audit record (2343 OEPOSTS1.c)

thats is one of the error i get when i try to do a day end and i also get different error when i try other procedure

Fine. Error=2 means the file is corrupted, probably from a power failure or other server crash. If Pervasive rebuild doesn't fix it, then you restore from backup. Most people won't miss a few days of OEAUD transactions, so restoring an old copy is your only choice.

but the back up the olny good back up i have is as @ feb 15 and we cant work with that so i was wonder if i could only restore the OE files and wat effect with that have

This is getting boring.

1. First you say your only good backup is 10 days ago, now you say you can't work with it. Which is it?

2. You can replace just the OEAUD tables, it won't effect any data integrity, it would just prevent a perfectly detailed audit between the GL and OE.

well let me get my self clear i have a backup as @ feb 15 that is working but i can use it but we cant go back so far so that why i am trying all the other resources .....o and sorry for the boredom

There you go again. No punctuation or capitalization on your message, and you contradict yourself. You say "I can use it", but then you say "we can't go back so far".

Just restore the bloody OEAUD* tables from 15 Feb and be done with it.

hello wat could cause th efile to be corrupt so that i know in the future or even wat could be the possible cause

Bad hardware, failing drives, poor server maintenance, power outages, or other system crashes.

Description: Day End Processing could not process all transactions.
During the day end process the error above occur .......this error occurs when the day end process reaches the DAY END number and when i repeatedly do a day end the number increase and now its is at 150 and it was at 148. Can any one assist and tell me how to address this problem.

WHEN I DO A RVSPY SCAN IN THE ATTACHMENT IS WHAT I SEE.
