File process slows down in XP 1

Hi,

I've got a problem.
I have a file process which takes 33s under windows98 (20000 add). The same process takes over than 15 minutes under XP !!
I have tried several solutions like desactivate Norton, corrected the Opportunistic locking settings on the server and each workstations but nothing change.

I know that there's a problem with DAT files under NTFS file system but even with TPS file, the problem is the same.

Has someone already had this problem ? And how can I correct this ?
