Over the past year, our agency has had numerous file permissions default to parent folder permissions for no apparent reason. There are only a few individuals who have the security privilege to change this, but apparently none of them have. We had a contractor come and check our network for viruses, but there were none. Our network administrator believes the cause to be buggy Microsoft software. Is there anyone else out there who has experienced this?
