OK... two questions:
1) Under Properties -> Security, I set an Access database file to allow read, write, execute, and modify permissions for a security group. When a user of the group opens and closes the file, that user replaces the security group in the file security permissions. Thus, no other user in the group can open the file. Any clues why this happens?
2) I set a Group Policy for the same security group to disable the run command for all of the users. However, it doesn't take affect. The users are ONLY members of this security group so no inheritance is taking place. Why is it that this policy is not taking affect? Does MS DNS have to be installed and functioning? (there is a thread on 6/20 that says this, but I have DNS installed, I just don't use DNS on the server)
Thanks for any help!
