This is really simple but there is something we're missing and need major help on.
There's a folder: D:\FOLDER
D: is NTFS
We have a share on called FOLDER
We have locked the folder down to only allowing Domain Admins and BETA group. There is one person in the BETA group.
We can go to \\SERVER\FOLDER and the person in BETA can read/write everything perfectly. Everyone else is locked out.
Now in IIS I'm trying to setup so that only the people in Domain Admins and BETA group can see the site.
When I open the site everyone can see it. When I do the permissions wizard only Domain Admins can get in. Am I doing something wrong? What is the best practice for securing a folder and allowing Windows authentication to handle the permissions?
