Hello All,
Overview:
The problems is with the temporary files that office makes while editing. Is there a way to make office use a local directory for temp files while editing network files?
Current issue:
certain users are unable to delete files in the client directory, this is by design. Office makes temporary files for backup purposes while editing, but because of the file permissions on the directory, Office is unable to delete these files and flakes out with errors and doesn't the save changes, because of the permissions.
Details:
I need to give a client directory ( and subfolders ) admin access to only a few and modify and NO delete privileges to many. I changed the special permissions on "everyone" to not allow delete and delete subfolers. and made a "client admin" group with full control. While directly editing files this works well.
