RedHat server. Exim mail server. Virtual hosting. When I try to run a perl script that opens my /home/accountX/mail/usernameX/INBOX file from my public_html directory, I get a permission denied error. I assume that the INBOX is owned by my mail server? How do I get permission to open and save to my INBOX?

The inbox should be owned by you, however any script you have on the server that runs will most likely be owned by the httpd daemon and therefore will not be allowed to open your inbox. ______________________________________________________________________

With which username are u running this perl script?
U can take advantage of setting ACL's and add that user id with write permission to your mail box file.

Hope this helps..
