How does one protect individual files or folders with a password?

What kind of file, in Word for example?
Start with a right click and check properties, often if you make a file read only, you also get the option to password protect it also.
In Access it's down through tools and administrator setting.

You need to elaborate.

I suggest try putting those types in your MY DOCUMENTS foler, go into controle panel click on the pasword icon and folow instructions.

You can also try making it a hidden file.then the pasword would be the file name.
