File Not Found with open statement

MSDN says that using the OUTPUT access method with the OPEN statement will automatically create a new file if not found, why is it then that I am getting a File Not Found error when trying??

help would be appreciated

Does the directory exist already?
Open will indeed create a file, but not a directory as well., so make sure that the directory exists first.
