"Approach has caused an error in DBASE.DLL
Approach will now close"

The above message displays when two files are being accessed. This is happening on several machines. Is there some way we can do access these files?

Your help is much appreciated.
I have Approach 9.5. I tried to open an .apr file.

As you suggested, I tried opening a .dbf file and it took me back to the desk top. Any other suggestions?

It sounds like the dbf or its index file (adx) is corrupted. Are there any .oyz files present? If so, delete them and the .adx files of the same name and try to open the dbf. If not, copy the .dbf (and .dbt if present) into a test folder and try to open the dbf directly in Approach with no index file. If you still can't open the dbf it looks like it's damaged. Do you have a backup?
